Later produced Citoris are not the same as the Charles Daly guns, but all were made by Miroku.īTW, the Miroku Charles Daly guns are very nice.Ĭlick to expand.I agree Daly/Mirokus are one of the sleepers out there. There is a brief overlap for the two guns and some parts may interchange, but that is only true for a specific number of guns. To the OP's question, yes, the late Charles Daly Mirokus were essentially the same gun as the early Citori's but time and technology soon marched on. The Citori guns evolved fairly quickly, however, with many internal/mechanical and external/cosmetic changes taking place. The guns themselves are produced by various manufacturers, including FN, Miroku and a few American factories owned by the Herstal group.Īs for the Miroku/Charles Daly/Citori relationship, it's my understanding that the first Citori's were almost identical twins to the guns that Miroku stamped with the Charles Daly name. It's a name that the FN Herstal company puts on some of its guns for marketing reasons.
With few exceptions, they have always relied on established firearms factories to produce their products. Most American shooters seem to have trouble accepting the fact that Browning is not a manufacturer (not entirely true, but close).
